Being addicted to food is seen in people of all ages and all walks of life. Often it will start when someone is younger and without even noticing, it can quickly spiral out of control. Eating more than your body requires is a bad thing, but eating much more than required is far worse and a recipe for disaster. One of the problems with food addiction is that it is easy to get started, parents think it is mean to deny their children food and do not realize that there is a difference between well fed and gluttoness.
Obesity and food addiction can lead to all sorts of health issues in the long run so doing something about it sooner rather than later is just plain smart. Take some time to learn about eating proper portions and healthier foods. No need to go overboard right away, but if you start heading in the right direction with diet choices and portion sizes, you will begin to control your life instead of the food controlling you.
